CARBON FARMING · SPAIN
We are developing agricultural projects in Spain to measure climate results and rigorously build the path to future carbon credits.
THE PROJECT
We are starting with our own farmland to study how specific management practices can improve the soil and contribute to measurable climate outcomes.
We want companies to be able to know the origin of each project, how its results are quantified and what has been verified before making a decision.
Projects linked to specific agricultural areas in Spain.
Measurement and traceability are the basis of any reported results.
Any future credits will depend on an applicable methodology and independent validation.
HOW WE WORK
Developing a carbon farming project calls for a clear sequence. This is the roadmap we are building.
See methodology and simulatorDocument the starting point: land use, current practices and characteristics of each surface.
Select actions appropriate to the land and a quantification method applicable to the project.
Record the evolution and contrast the results against the starting point during the required period.
Only after completing the requirements of the chosen scheme could verifiable and marketable credits be issued.
FOR COMPANIES
If your company wants to learn about carbon farming projects developed in Spain, we can explore a collaboration suited to the project’s current stage.
Understand what lands are part of the project, what practices are proposed and what information will be available.
Discuss the timeline, measurement milestones and the evidence needed to verify results.
Assess the acquisition of credits only when there are units issued and verified.
TRANSPARENCY
We prefer to clearly explain the phase of the project. This information will be updated as we progress.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Clear answers to understand what we do and what phase the project is in.
It is an initiative on farmland that applies defined practices and measures their effects on soil carbon or emissions. Turning those results into tradable units requires an applicable methodology, monitoring and verification.
No. We are in the development phase of the first projects. We do not advertise credits as available until they are quantified, verified and issued in accordance with the applicable scheme.
We start with some agricultural hectares in Spain. We will publish more information on parcels and scope when the projects are defined and we can properly document them.
The methodology, starting data, monitoring and verification will be specified for each project. Our goal is for any future credit to have a traceable origin and quantification. See the example and the simulator.
Depending on the methodology, documenting a farm may involve on-site photos, satellite data and direct measurements. An image alone cannot quantify carbon or verify credits. The main image on this site is conceptual and does not show a real project parcel. This is how the data is collected.
It depends on the farm and the chosen program. The land must be surveyed, measured, tracked, and audited before credits can be issued. Check out the visual guide for farmers.
The usefulness of a credit depends on the applicable framework, the type of unit and the specific obligation. The purchase of credits does not in itself replace the measurement or reduction of emissions nor does it guarantee regulatory compliance. It is advisable to review each case before making public statements.
Yes. We can explain the current stage, learn about your goals and discuss possible future collaboration without promising units that do not yet exist.
